This city isn’t about the buildings or the land This city is about the spirit A special and unique spirit, that’s roams in all of us For it lays in the heart of Texas Out mighty Texas Out might Austin, the heart of Texas The spirit that makes us, us It’s not about the land But the love for our city and its life It’s not about the buildings But its arts and its culture Its about the it’s people The people we call austenite Different people Living different lives With different cultures All to be united as one Under the stars of Austin Tho, it may not be the business capital city Austin is special Because it’s true to Texas It’s the bond that holds us together For each and everyone of us Blondes or Brunets Irish or American Jewish or Catholic Republicans or Democrats Who truly cares?
