We have added the feature where you can now edit your poems yourself! To edit your poems, use the Search Engine to locate your poem, then click on the "Edit" on the right side. From the next screen, you should be able to edit any field you want. Your changes will be submitted to our system. Please email us at support@poetrybox.com with any questions or concerns you might have.

We are aware that many poets use Pen Names. We have now added a feature where you can user your Pen Names on all your poems. If you go into the Member area, and click on the link to edit your membership profile, you will see two new fields: Pen First Name and Pen Last Name. By updating these, this will affect any new poems you enter on our site. If you would like this change to be on all your existing poems on our site, please email us at support@poetrybox.com and we will make all the necessary changes ASAP!
We are always trying to accomodate our members, so please let us know of any other features you would like to see.

Very exciting news! We have added a fantastic feature. Whenver you view a poem, there is a link at the bottom that says "Send A Private Message To The Poet". Go there, fill out the forum and the message will go into a private inbox for that member.
To check for your private messages, log in to the member area and you should see a link that says "Get your private messages here!". If you have any, they will appear here.
We added this so you can receive critiques for your poems or just talk specifically to the poet whose poems you admire.

» Top Hit Poems is Back! «

After some careful programming we have brought back the Top Hit Poem Page. This will list the Top Ten Poems that have the greatest number of "Hits". Due to some members feeling it was unfair we have now made it so that only a member that is logged in will register as a "Hit" on a poem or if the poem is viewed as a "Random Poem". If a poem is viewed and the person is not logged in, then the poem will not receive a "hit". We have reset all the "Hits" for all poems to 0 so we can start on a fresh slate. Dear members of Poetrybox.com,
We ask for each of you to take a moment and pray for many of the friends and family members, which some of us have lost in the recent attack against the United States.
Our hearts go out to all of those friends and family members of any of the Casualties of these Atrocious Acts of War.
Many of our members are non-Americans, and as an American I share this thought with each of you.
Whether it is the United States under attack and or any other peace loving and God faithful country. We will all unite behind a cause, to first help the survivors and the families, but more over we will regroup, we will stand tall and fight; in order to both regain our freedoms and protect our national security, and we ask all of our friends World Wide to help.
Please feel free to request anything of us, and as a small company we will do what ever we possibly can, in order to help a member in need.
We do ask that any member which can send a donation for this cause to please do so. Poetrybox.com will spend each and every dollar helping any member, who needs the help, and or we will donate it as a group, to the families in need.

» Have your poem read to you! «

For a while now, we have been researching how to have your poems read to you out loud through your computer. Well, we figured it out. Check out Poem Numbers 21, 22, and 24. Click on the Speaker and there you have it! Now, we are going to make our way through the database making MP3 files for every poem, but that might take a while. When your poem becomes sound enabled a little speaker icon will appear on your poem. We hope you enjoy our new feature and please let everyone know that Poetrybox.com is now sound-enabled!
